Summer 2025 Camp Update:
Our Mandarin ART (Gr K-6) and Mandarin MAKER (Gr 3-6 only) Camps will run weekly (M-F, 9am-4pm).
Weeks TBD, likely to be July 14 - August 8 for 4 weeks.
Single Week, Multi-Week and Daily options will be made available.
Our Mandarin Camps (Entering Grades K-6)
Learn and practice Mandarin through theme-based, hands-on projects and activities. Each week, we will split up into 2 age groups: Art GrK-2 and Maker Gr3-6 (max 12 students per week). Each age group can work on vocabulary, speaking, recognition/reading, and/or writing suited for their language level, while also working on age-appropriate projects/activities.

Full-Day Camp Schedule (Monday - Friday)
Drop-Off: 8:45-9am (our doors will open at 8:45am, not earlier)
Morning Session: 9am - 12:00pm (break in between, bring your own snacks)
Mix of class time and project work
If our 2 camp groups are at max 10 kids each, we will have the older group do morning outside first and then class time in the afternoon
Lunch: 12:00 - 12:45pm (bring your own lunch)
Clean-up: 12:45-1:00pm (get ready for returning group / head out for outdoor activity)
Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 4:00pm
Outside play time (at nearby park / playground), additional class time and/or teacher-led activities.
Pickup: 4-430pm (no extended care this year, late fee of $10/min will be imposed if student is not picked up by 430pm)
Our camps are taught in Mandarin so it is recommended that students have at least basic Mandarin comprehension. For beginners, please contact us first.

Mandarin MAKER (Gr3-6) is about Learning CHINESE through Hands-On MAKER Projects
Calling all young engineers! Sky Kids campers will build different gadgets and toys from our Taipei camp partner CIO Maker School. Mandarin learning is paired with project work that brings to life design concepts, mechanisms, and circuitry. Super fun and hands-on for older grades!
Theme A (Week 1, 3): Paris Architecture
In celebration of the Paris Olympics this year, our campers will be creating their own cityscape of Paris, with iconic architectural structures such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, and the Arc de Triomphe to anchor their own version of Paris!
Theme B (Week 2, 4): 2024 Olympic Games
What are your favorite Olympic sports? Our campers will work on maker projects that represent basketball, football (soccer), baseball and cycling so they can create their own “sport venues.” Campers will also make their own Olympic torch to take home.
Mandarin ART (GrK-6) is about Learning CHINESE through ARTS & CRAFTS
Time to roll-up your sleeves and use your arts and crafts skills while learning and practicing Mandarin! Applying their creative minds and aesthetic sense, our young campers will use different materials and tools to bring the Chinese culture and language to life.
Theme A (Week 1, 4): Pictogram Fun 认识中国的象形文字
Where did the Chinese written form come from? For those who tend to learn more visually, the answer will come to you quickly. Each camp day students will learn a new set of vocabulary (e.g. words related to people, nature, animals, tools/machinery, etc.) from which they will create their own pictograms work of art through the use of mixed media.

Theme B (Week 2): Let’s Play! “我爱玩”-儿时的游戏
Some toys are timeless and have been entertaining kids across generations. In this camp, we will re-create classic toys and learn about the science / engineering concepts behind them (e.g. wind power, aerofluid dynamics, shape/speed, power/distance, refraction).

Theme C (Week 3): Chinese Cultural Arts 中国文化
What do you know about Chinese Art & Culture? What things, activities or holidays do you associate as Chinese? In this camp, students will learn about different elements of Chinese culture & language, while working on fun, hands-on arts & crafts.

Camp Cancellation / Change:
We reserve the right to cancel a class session if the number of students enrolled does not meet the minimum or there are unforeseen circumstances.
All bookings are non-refundable unless the class(es) is cancelled by Sky Kids and/or a force majeure situation arises that requires cancellation. If you request cancellation for any reason, we can apply the remaining credit (minus materials cost incurred and classes already taken) to another class/program (valid for one year).
If you miss a class, you may request to make-up the class in a later time-slot as long as there is space available. No refunds are allowed in this case.
