Summer 2025 Camp Update:

4 Camps Weeks Confirmed: July 21- 5, July 28-August 1, August 4-8, August 11-15 @ NEW LOCATION

***For the weeks of July 21-25 and July 28-August 1, we welcome Teacher Sylvia from Taiwan again to help lead our Mandarin Maker camps***

Single Week, Multi-Week and Daily options are available for booking.

Our Mandarin Camps (Entering Grades K-6)

Learn and practice Mandarin through hands-on project-based activities. Each week, we will split up into 2 age groups when possible: GrK-2 and Gr3-6. Each week will have two age group with max of 10-12 students per group. Each age group will work on conversation, recognition/reading, and/or writing skills, while completing projects suited for their age / skill level.

 

Summer 2025 Location (NEW):

We will run camps at a new location this summer! Centrally located and beautifully maintained, our classes will be held in spaces located next to each other on the 2nd floor of the church,

Weekly Camp Schedule

Full-Day Camp Schedule (Monday - Friday)

  • Drop-Off: 8:45-9am (our doors will open at 8:45am, not earlier)

  • Morning Session: 9am - 12:00pm (break in between, bring your own snacks)

    • Mix of class time and project work

    • If our 2 camp groups are at max 10 kids each, we will have the older group do morning outside first and then class time in the afternoon

  • Lunch / Break / Cleanup : 12:00 - 1pm (bring your own lunch)

  • Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 4:00pm

    • Additional class time and/or teacher-led activities

    • Outside play time (at nearby park / playground)

  • Pickup: 4-430pm (no extended care this year, late fee of $10/min will be imposed if student is not picked up by 430pm)

Mandarin MAKER (GrK-2, Gr3-6) is about Learning CHINESE through Hands-On MAKER Projects

Calling all young builders! Sky Kids campers will have the chance to construct their own Claw Machine and Tree House this summer. These camp themes are all time favorites from our Taipei camp partner CIO Maker School. Our Mandarin Maker camps is Mandarin learning paired with project work that brings to life design concepts, mechanisms, and circuitry. Super fun and hands-on for different ages and grades!

Our camps are taught in Mandarin so it is recommended that students have at least basic Mandarin comprehension. For beginners, please contact us first.

 

Theme A (WK 1, 3):

THE Claw Machine

Age Group: K-2 will do a simplified version of the claw machine or other toy device that is more suitable for this age.



Theme B (Wk 2, 4):

The Tree House

Age Group: K-2 will do a simplified version of the tree house that is more suitable for this age group.

Mandarin Summer Camp - Partial Week (# of Days)

Camp Cancellation / Change:

  • We reserve the right to cancel a class session if the number of students enrolled does not meet the minimum or there are unforeseen circumstances.

  • All bookings are non-refundable unless the class(es) is cancelled by Sky Kids and/or a force majeure situation arises that requires cancellation. If you request cancellation for any reason, we can apply the remaining credit (minus materials cost incurred and classes already taken) to another class/program (valid for one year).

  • If you miss a class, you may request to make-up the class in a later time-slot as long as there is space available. No refunds are allowed in this case.

  • Sky Kids reserves the right to change program content / teacher as needed.
