Even local kids need to improve their Chinese comprehension, usage, and composition! This is a local after-school and camp with a fully immersive Mandarin setting.
Introduction
Community-style after-school and camp program with students from the Greater Taipei area. Founded in 2019 by a former Kindergarten teacher, who is also a mom of 3 and an experienced landscape designer, the program’s teaching philosophy is centered around a life-based and creative approach to learning, appreciating, and applying the Chinese language. Using hands-on arts and craft activities, the program makes learning Mandarin fun and useful for school and in daily life.

Nono Mandarin Camp (PM) with CIO Maker (AM)
Location: No. 40, Sec. 3, Zhongshan N. Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City - Same Location as CIO Maker Camp (AM) for June 9-13 and June 16-20
Fanghe Middle School Camp (July 21-25)
Age Group: For students entering Grades 5-8 in Fall 2025. Soon to be 9th graders are also welcome to attend.

COURSE CONTENT:
1) City Exploration: Understanding the living environment, discovering community characteristics, and identifying existing residential issues. Discussing needs and proposing improvement plans.
2) Understanding Global Cities and Modern Architectural History: Exploring the preservation of old and new buildings. Focusing on aesthetics and culture in daily life to envision a better living environment.
3) Creating Future City Sketches: Practicing from 2D sketches to 3D handmade models.
4) Collaborative Future City Creation: Breaking free from real-world constraints. Turning dreams and impossibilities into reality in daily life.
COURSE BENEFITS:

課程內容：
一， 城市走讀：認識生活環境，發掘社區特色，思考居住現存問題。討論需求，提出改善方案。
二， 認識世界城市，近代建築發展史，思考新舊建築存留，關注生活美學與文化，提供更好的生活願景。
三， 製作未來城市草圖，從平面到立體，手作模型練習。
四， 共同創作未來城市，突破現實桎梏，創造生活中的夢想與不可能。
課程效益：
了解生活環境，由小尺度到大環境，培養空間觀察能力，人類行為觀察等判斷能力，擁有獨立思考，提出問題，解決問題。
培養生活美學，正視環境與人文歷史，建築與空間等關係。

Camp Cancellation / Change:
We reserve the right to cancel a class session if the number of students enrolled does not meet the minimum or there are unforeseen circumstances that require cancellation.
All bookings are non-refundable unless the class(es) is cancelled by Sky Kids. Force majeure situations that result in cancellation will be provided with alternative option e.g. make-up class or credit valid up to one year. For parent-initiated cancellations, special circumstances may allow for partial refund so please let us know why you have chosen to cancel.
If your child misses a class or specific days of the camp, you may request to make-up the class at a later time-slot as long as there is space available. No refunds are allowed in this case.
